Getting married at Christmas? Of course!
A family celebration combined with the romantic atmosphere of your wedding!
Not only are many venues decked out in Christmas magic, a winter wedding also brings many other benefits. This is because the winter months are off-season for wedding service providers and this also allows brides and grooms to be more spontaneous in their planning and get their desired service providers. With this Christmas styled shoot, organised by Wedding Melodies by Petra Bäumle, we wanted to inspire brides and grooms to see how beautiful it can be to get married in Advent. And we couldn't think of a better place for a christmas wedding than Bottmingen castle in Basel.
Location:
During Advent season, many venues are beautifully decorated for Christmas and the bride and groom thus have the benefit of putting less effort into the decorations.
It quickly became clear that the Weiherschloss Bottmingen in Baselbiet was the perfect location for a Christmas styled shoot! Full of fairy lights and decorated with Christmas trees inside of the castle, guests will find Christmas magic here. In the heart of Bottmingen, many people find themselves in front of the castle in the evening to take part in the Advent sparkle. The wedding service providers also enjoyed this and each and every one of them helped to conjure up a beautiful styled shoot in this fairytale setting.
Decoration:
For a wintry decoration, elements from nature can also be incorporated.
Fir branches can be used as table runners and pine cones can be used for name cards. Fairy lights or perhaps even a Christmas tree in the dining room, round off the Christmas decoration.
Veronica from La Perla design reflected the Christmas colours throughout her decorations from the wedding arch , tablesetting to the papetrie.
The bridal bouquet as well as the beautiful floral decorations were by Blumen Patrizia showed the classic Christmas colours of red, gold, white and green.
Mood for Food:
The bakers Cucpakes by Rosa provided the right taste with their lovingly decorated cupcakes and Elfis Torten baked a Christmas wedding cake, so that the familiar Christmas spices were also included in the taste. The wintry elements also come into their own in the aperitif. Whether punch, hot chocolate for the little ones or a glass of sparkling wine - the Christmas motto can be wonderfully implemented.
Styling:
From a huge range of wedding dresses, the bride got to slip into a glittery dress by @Meryscouture and was styled by Florencia Bustos. For the bride's fine details, beautiful one-of-a-kind bridal and head jewellery was made by Lilien Brautschmuck. The rings were provided by Ihr ringerr Heinfelden. With their in-house goldsmith, wedding rings can be custom made.
Photography and videography was provided by us, Gloria Velvet. This year, we started offering video as well, and this was one of our first occasions to show our work!
