WHY ELOPE IN SWITZERLAND
"You came to Switzerland and Europe for the mountains, the historic villas, the architecture,
and, above all, for each other."
Switzerland is one of the most extraordinary places on earth to elope, turquoise glacier lakes, snow-capped peaks, valleys with no roads in, and light that photographers dream about. For couples flying in from the US, it's the backdrop that makes everything else irrelevant. The only thing that matters is that you're here, together, and that someone is capturing it the right way.
I'm Gloria, a fine art elopement photographer based in Switzerland. I've guided couples from New York, California, Texas, and across the US through remote Alpine valleys, Dolomite cliffs, and hidden lakeside ceremonies. I don't just document your elopement. I shape it.
ABOUT GLORIA
Your local guide
in Switzerland and Europe

With a background in fine art, painting, and photography, I approach each elopement as a visual story, one where the landscape is a character, the light is a collaborator, and your connection is the only thing that matters.
I'm based in Switzerland year-round. I know where the light falls at Oeschinensee at 7pm in September. I know which path in Lauterbrunnen avoids the crowds. I know how to read the weather in the Valais and pivot your entire day when the mountain decides to disagree.
I work with a limited number of couples each year, so when you book with me, you get my full attention, from the first email to the moment your gallery lands in your inbox.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything you want
to know about eloping in Switzerland
For American couples planning an elopement in Switzerland, Spain or Italy, these are the questions I get most.
How much does an Elopement Photographer in Switzerland cost?
My elopement photography packages in Switzerland start at 3,995 CHF for a half day elopement (up to 5 hours, 3 locations) and go up to 5,995 CHF for a full day elopement (up to 10 hours, unlimited locations). Multi-day elopements are priced at 5,500 CHF per day. All packages include drone photography, a film roll, curated online gallery, slideshow, video planning calls, and travel up to 200 km from Bienne. No hidden fees.

Can americans legally elope - get married in Switzerland or Italy?
Yes, American couples can legally marry in Switzerland, though the civil registration process requires paperwork (apostille of documents, birth certificates, etc.) submitted to the Swiss civil registry well in advance. Many couples flying from the US choose to have their legal ceremony at home and celebrate their symbolic elopement experience in Switzerland, which requires zero paperwork and gives you complete freedom of location and date. I'm happy to help you think through both options.
+
What are the best elopement locations in Switzerland?
The most popular Switzerland elopement locations include Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald (Bernese Oberland valleys with dramatic waterfalls and peaks), Zermatt (the Matterhorn backdrop, iconic for a reason), Oeschinensee near Kandersteg (a turquoise glacial lake with almost no crowds), Jungfraujoch (for glacier elopements above 3,000m), and Lake Geneva, Gstadd, St Moritz or Montreux for a more elegant, lakeside atmosphere. I personally know hidden spots in all these regions (and others in Switzerland) that don't look like tourist photo and are less crowded.
+
What are the best times of the year for an Elopement in Switzerland?
Late spring (May–June) and early fall (September–October) are the sweet spots, wildflowers or golden foliage, fewer crowds, and dramatic mountain light. Summer (July–August) is peak season with lush green landscapes but more tourists. Winter offers magical snow-covered scenery, especially around Zermatt and the Bernese Oberland, and an intimacy that summer can't match. I help plan your timeline around the best light regardless of season.
+
Do you travel to Italy, Spain and other countries for Elopements?
Yes, I travel to Italy and Spain multiple times a year and regularly photograph elopements in Tuscany, Lake Como, Venice, etc. I know the best locations, logistics, and local vendors in each region. For multi-destination elopements across Switzerland, Spain and Italy, I offer the Grand Heirloom Collection (per-day pricing).
+
How far in advance should I book an Elopement Photographer?
Summer and early fall dates, especially in the Swiss Alps, typically book out 6 to 12 months in advance. If you have a date window in mind, I recommend reaching out as early as possible so we have the most flexibility for timing, light, and locations. Off-season dates (winter, early spring) have more availability. I occasionally have last-minute openings, so it's always worth inquiring even for closer dates.
