Although I am a Wedding Photographer based in Zürich, I find myself usually being a photographer in places like Thun and Bern Oberland: from Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen, to Bern itself, Thun, or Hilterfingen, like this time. This wedding took place at the marvelous Hünegg Castle. Although Schloss Hünegg is a museum, they also have a garden with a view, and rooms where they host wedding ceremonies. All I can say as an experienced wedding photographer in Switzerland is that if you are looking for an elegant castle with a beautiful lake view, Hünegg Castle could be perfect for your wedding.
The bride got ready not too far from the castle, at the Chartreuse, by the talented Isabelle, but being herself a professional make up artist too, she also did her lips and some touches of her make up. Lea got ready with her best friend by her side. Her gorgeous wedding bouquet was made by Rahel Heimberg and the beautiful wedding jewels she wore were from La Chia Style, being all wedding providers from Switzerland.
A wedding photographer should always give advice in regards to location and light, and as so, I adviced them to have the first look at a certain time range. The full wedding photography and wedding videography team arrived to the chosen area, near Sigriswill, in advance, and we decided what was the best spot for the first look from the wedding day. The wedding pictures from their first look, with the beautiful view of the lake and the mountains behind them, were magical and full of emotions. Then, they left in an oldtimer they got for the occasion towards their beautiful ceremony at Schloss Hünegg, in a dazzling garden with the lake view behind them. After the emotive religious ceremony in the gardens of Schloss Huenegg, they had an apero with their guests, played some games by the lake and had time to do the couple photo shoot from their wedding. Dinner was under a beautifully decorated tent in the gardens as well, and for the wedding party they went to the Hünegg Castle basement, where the bride and the groom had their first dance and partied all night.
I was really happy to be the wedding photographer for this gorgeous wedding, and I loved meeting this beautiful couple. This is what the couple said when they received the pictures:
